چکیده
introductioin Cerebral cavernous malformation (CCM), also known as cavernous angioma, is a type of vascular malformation in the central nervous system. To date, rare cases of CCM and seizure have been reported in pregnancies. Nowadays, the management of such condition in pregnancy is still a challenge due to lacking of experiences. We presented a case of pregnant woman with CCM combined with epilepsy and cerebral cavernous hemangioma.

We present a pregnant case of combined with epilepsy and cerebral cavernous hemangioma and to review the literature on the topic. متن کاملBilateral temporal lobe epilepsy in a patient with Turner syndrome mosaicism
Turner's syndrome (TS), resulting from deletion of one X chromosome in women, is associated with cerebral development abnormalities, particularly in the temporal lobes. Symptomatic epilepsy is described only in cases with extensive malformations. Here, we report the first case of bilateral temporal epilepsy without macroscopic cerebral malformation in a woman with TS mosaicism. Bitemporal dysfu...
متن کاملQuantitative Susceptibility Mapping in Cerebral Cavernous Malformations: Clinical Correlations.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Quantitative susceptibility mapping has been shown to assess iron content in cerebral cavernous malformations. In this study, our aim was to correlate lesional iron deposition assessed by quantitative susceptibility mapping with clinical and disease features in patients with cerebral cavernous malformations. MATERIALS AND METHODS Patients underwent routine clinical scan...
متن کاملShort Communication Recurrent Cavernous Sinus Syndrome Complicating Supratentorial Arteriovenous Malformation: Report of a Case
A S-year-old girl with history of unexplained cerebral palsy and cranial asymmetry presented with an acute encephalopathy and a cavernous sinus syndrome. Radiologic studies disclosed an arteriovenous malformation draining into a dilated vein of Galen, arterialization of flow into the cavernous sinuses from runoff of the malformation, and non-filling of the cavernous sinuses on orbital venograph...

Cerebral cavernous angioma or cavernoma is a benign vascular malformation, usually asymptomatic. It is infrequent and often its discovery is incidental, a so-called incidentaloma. However, these lesions can be symptomatic, causing headaches, epilepsy, cerebral hemorrhage and other neurological signs depending on the brain area involved. Frontal localization is responsible for psychiatric disord...
